Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) has many roles in the Intelligence Cycle. Typically, it can be thought of as a lead generator or compass to point though the noise. The marriage of Digital Forensics and OSINT has taken this a step further and created a new breakout in the Intel feedback loop. Merging breadcrumbs across the disciplines can paint a more holistic a picture of threat actors, and threat networks, through joint forces to attain attribution.
