MVS Replay: Use of Machine Learning in Digital Forensics

The ubiquity of computing and mobility has created a big data processing problem for digital forensic investigations. Therefore, we need to implement novel analysis techniques and make use of machine learning and statistical analysis for determining our focus during the analysis phase of forensics. In this research we aim to give details of machine learning and how to incorporate machine learning techniques into digital forensics. At first, we will give definitions of machine learning techniques and investigate common datasets used in machine learning to support digital forensics. The second section gives details about recent research about the topic. The final section is an example demonstration of how to use machine learning aligned at digital forensics.
