Jamey Tubbs is the Director of Training Operations at Magnet Forensics, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's training curriculum and ensuring the highest standards of digital forensics education. Jamey's journey into the world of digital forensics began during his distinguished 20-year career in the US Army. Starting as a Mainframe Computer Repair Technician, he later transitioned to become a Criminal Investigation Division Special Agent. His military service saw him stationed in various locations, including Ft Sill, Ft Lewis, Ft Huachuca, Kaiserslautern Germany, Giessen Germany, Fort Stewart, and Fort Hood, with four deployments in support of the war on Iraq. During his deployments, Jamey was awarded two bronze stars for his exemplary service. In 2001, while serving as a Special Agent Team Chief, Jamey began learning computer forensics to support felony investigations involving the US Army. His dedication to making a difference in the lives of victims has been a driving force throughout his career. After retiring from the military, Jamey continued to pursue his passion for training and education, believing in the importance of passing on knowledge to future forensicators. At Magnet Forensics, Jamey is known for his hands-on approach and his commitment to excellence in digital forensics training. His extensive experience and unique perspective, shaped by his military and law enforcement background, make him an invaluable asset to the company and the broader digital forensics community
