Body Worn Cameras: Finding and Working with the Significant Elements in Video
Body-worn cameras (BWC) used by law enforcement agencies are increasingly common which means that dealing with video evidence has become a significant part of the analysis of a police-related incident. This presentation will include details of a shooting case in which BWC video was reviewed and analyzed in a frame-by-frame mode. This method allowed the capture of important evidence that was not viewable by standard video viewing. Methods of adding higher resolution timecode to video for use by investigators and attorneys will also be presented and explained.
