The tenth year of Magnet User Summit set a new bar!

Between fascinating keynote presentations, informative talks, and extremely helpful hands-on labs, Magnet User Summit had something for everyone—including exciting new tracks specially designed for investigators and prosecutors. It was definitely a special chance to learn more about DFIR & Magnet Forensics products and truly gain an investigative edge

Didn’t get a chance to join us in Nashville? Hopefully we’ll see you next year! In the meantime, here are a few highlights from the event:

Announcing the latest Magnet Forensics updates

During our kick-off keynote, our executive team were extremely excited to dive into the latest innovations at Magnet Forensics, including:

Announcing the inaugural Agency Impact Award winner and 2025 scholarship recipients

During the kick-off presentation, we also had the opportunity to announce the launch of the Magnet Agency Impact Award and the continuation of the Magnet Forensics Scholarship Program—recognizing the tremendous work of public safety agencies around the world.

New York State Police (NYSP) were selected as the inaugural recipient of the Magnet Agency Impact Award, honoring their unwavering commitment to protecting communities and advancing digital forensics to unlock the truth and protect the innocent. In recognition of this award, Magnet Forensics will also provide free unlimited training for a year and team-building activities for the agency, as well as a donation to a charity of their choice.

And six winners were selected for the 2025 Magnet Forensics Scholarship Awards! Learn more about their backgrounds and why they’re excited to develop further in the DFIR field here

Special guests for keynote presentations

In addition to the many amazing guests we had joining us to share their knowledge at Magnet User Summit 2025, we were unbelievably honored to have special presenters on-hand to give fantastic keynote presentations.

Theresa Payton, former White House CIO and leading expert in cybersecurity, explored the latest trends and technologies reshaping the fields of digital forensics and cybersecurity.

Handouts from Theresa Payton’s keynote, The future is now: how to leverage AI and tech innovations to reshape your organization and cybersecurity, are available in the session catalog in your Event Portal.

Former federal prosecutor, Kevin Mulcahy recounted his own story as a survivor of child sexual abuse and addressed lessons learned from his case—combining his experience both as a victim and a long-time prosecutor of child exploitation cases.

And finally, Jessica Hyde closed out the event with a rousing wrap-up keynote, taking on some major themes from the event and bringing her world-class DFIR knowledge to the proceedings.
