Magnet Griffeye 24.5 and Project VIC GID now available
Magnet Forensics is excited to announce the release of version 24.5 of the Magnet Griffeye suite! This update brings key enhancements to the Griffeye Intelligence Database (GID) in Griffeye Operations and Griffeye Enterprise, including streamlined user permissions management for improved security, as well as a new beta feature for Summary Report templates across all Griffeye products. We are also proud to introduce the full integration of the Project VIC GID within the Griffeye platform.
Seamless matching against Project VIC-US data
The new Project VIC GID is now available across all Magnet Griffeye products, offering powerful new capabilities for CSAM investigations.
Project VIC-US, a collaboration between law enforcement and technology providers, is an invaluable resource for CSAM investigations. Various tools support the VICS standard, ensuring the sharing of relevant media data to rapidly identify illicit content and aid in the identification of victims.
The new Project VIC GID automates the VICS-US hash set updates, ensuring investigators have access to the most current data, enhancing identification of crucial materials, and eliminating irrelevant data.
Key benefits
- Seamless data matching: ICAC investigators across the US can effortlessly match against Project VIC-US data within Magnet Griffeye products
- Automated updates: Eliminate the manual process of importing VICS-US hash sets by automating updates, saving valuable time for investigators
- Enhanced efficiency: The Project VIC GID, as part of the Magnet Griffeye ecosystem of products, will further enhance the processing and analysis of CSAM cases, helping law enforcement agencies handle cases more efficiently
The Project VIC GID is available within Magnet Griffeye Advanced, Operations and Enterprise. For more information, read the announcement blog post or contact us directly at sales@magnetforensics.com.
New in 24.5: User permissions for GID in Griffeye Operations and Enterprise
With the release of Griffeye 24.5, GID User Management is now integrated with Griffeye Operations and Griffeye Enterprise to streamline authentication and authorization processes. This feature enhances security by enabling central management of user access, ensuring that permissions are clearly defined and controlled. Administrators can easily manage which users have access to GID resources, ensuring that only authorized personnel can interact with sensitive data. This centralization simplifies the process of granting and adjusting access while reducing the risk of unauthorized access. Additionally, permissions can be tailored, allowing specific users to edit or view data based on their role, providing both flexibility and enhanced security.
New beta feature: Summary Report Template Editor
To further streamline case reporting, we’re introducing the new Summary Report Template Editor, currently in beta. This feature allows users to easily create or modify report templates. You can either edit existing templates or build new ones from scratch, with helpful guidance on markers and filtering options. The template editor is accessible when a case is open, offering a live preview of your customized report format.
With these updates, we continue to improve the functionality and usability of the Magnet Griffeye platform, helping law enforcement agencies work more efficiently and effectively in media investigations. For any questions, feel free to reach out or explore our resources for more information.
