Magnet Axiom 8.6: Magnet Copilot offline AI capabilities and more
Magnet Axiom 8.6 introduces a new offline version of the early access to Magnet Copilot’s AI capabilities, helping you easily recognize potentially relevant data in your cases and determine the authenticity of media. This new release adds enhanced related media options to Artifact Explorer, and support for four additional languages in Magnet Exhibit Builder. Axiom 8.6 also features new and updated artifact support to help keep your investigations current with the latest evidence sources.

Magnet Copilot offline – Early access
While AI can be used for malicious purposes, it can also level the playing field, giving examiners powerful tools to help them keep pace with AI-generated media and the explosion of data in investigations. To bring the powerful AI capabilities of Magnet Copilot to even more Axiom users, we have made early access to these capabilities available for offline use. The offline version mirrors the AI capabilities of the previous iteration of Magnet Copilot, giving you the ability to:
- Analyze videos (via Medex Forensics) and images to determine whether they are synthetic or generated media
- Surface relevant results to case data for chat threads, web searches, and images

View related media in Artifact Explorer
The locations of evidence on a suspect’s device can provide context around how they acquired and interacted with a media file. This can include insight into accessing or sharing files on a cloud storage site, through email, or on messaging platforms.
To help you quickly determine other locations where media files of interest are present on a suspect’s devices, we have added a feature to Artifact Explorer that allows you to easily filter and surface all media artifacts that contain the same hash value.
New language support in Magnet Exhibit Builder
Available as part of our Axiom Premier license, Exhibit Builder lets you easily create clear and comprehensive forensic reports combining Axiom files and all other evidence sources. In addition to English, four new languages have been added to the user interface, allowing German, Spanish, French, and Turkish users to work in their native language.

We have added new and updated artifacts to help keep your investigations current with the latest apps and data sources.
Axiom 8.6 features updated support for the latest warrant returns from Meta’s top platforms, Facebook and Instagram. The format of these returns can change from time to time, making it challenging to search and analyze the vast number of artifacts. The updates to these warrant returns help you gain the insight you need from actions a user could have taken on the platform.
